Hanterhir at Carn Marth

We are excited to announce that the legendary Cornish Folk Rock band Hanterhir will be performing tracks from their rock opera "The Saving of Caden" at Carn Marth as part of our February 24th event.

The opera sung partly in Cornish and inspired by Carn Marth Lake itself is beautifully enigmatic and evocative. It is a tragic love story that conjures up the spirit that lies within the lake.

5 members of the band joined us for a film and photography shoot on a drizzly grey but atmospheric Saturday. Ben Harris (vocals, guitar, keyboard) Grant Kellow (bass, vocals) Mike Hewitt (Sax, Keyboard, vocals) Lou Piexinha (flute, vocals, violin, clarinet...) Jason Brown (drums, percussion) arrived with instruments and some intriguing local stories. It was a great morning working with so many talented musicians. Look out for the video coming soon.
